Recruitment: How to apply for Finland 2025 seasonal work permit

The Finnish Immigration Service has officially opened applications for the Finland Seasonal Work Permit 2025, providing foreign workers with employment opportunities in agriculture, forestry, and tourism.
This initiative allows migrant workers to secure temporary jobs in Finland for up to nine months within a 12-month period, helping to address labor shortages in key industries.
According to TravelBiz, the seasonal work permit is specifically designed for foreign nationals, enabling them to contribute to Finland’s workforce while ensuring compliance with labor regulations. However, applicants must secure the necessary permit before traveling to the country.
Types of Finland Seasonal Work Permits
There are two primary categories of seasonal work permits, depending on the duration of employment:
1. Seasonal Work Visa (Up to 3 Months):
Applicants from visa-required countries must apply at a Finnish embassy before traveling.
Visa-exempt applicants can apply for a certificate for seasonal work directly through the Finnish Immigration Service.
2. Residence Permit for Seasonal Work (3 to 9 Months):
Required for jobs lasting between three and nine months.
Must be obtained before entering Finland.
Processing can take up to 90 days, so early applications are recommended.
Key Requirements for Applicants
To qualify for a Finland seasonal work permit, applicants must meet the following conditions:
Job Offer and Contract: A legally binding employment contract from a Finnish employer is mandatory.
Minimum Wage: Workers must earn at least €1,430 (approximately N2.2 million) per month, unless otherwise specified by a collective agreement.
Accommodation: Applicants must secure housing that meets Finland’s health and safety regulations.
Complete Application: All required documents must be submitted to avoid processing delays.
