Seyi Law resumes duty as Ondo State Governor’s SSA, faces backlash

Nigerian comedian Seyi Law has sparked outrage on social media after announcing his official resumption as Senior Special Adviser on Entertainment and Tourism to Ondo State Governor, Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Seyi Law shared a video of his courtesy visit to Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami, and Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi, on Instagram, expressing gratitude to the governor and seeking divine guidance to achieve the state’s vision.
However, his post drew fierce criticism, with many netizens flooding his comment section with curses and disapproval.
This development comes after Eniola Badmus, another supporter of President Tinubu, was appointed Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Social Events and Public Hearings in May. She officially resumed duty last month, sharing photos of her meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The appointments have sparked controversy, with many questioning the suitability of entertainers for political roles.
Seyi Law’s new position has ignited a heated debate, with some condemning his involvement in politics and others defending his right to serve.
