Smear campaign against Ningi cannot stand — PDP chieftain

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and aide to the Senator representing Bauchi Central, Abdul Ahmed Ningi, Ibrahim Hassan Galadima has described allegations of incompetence and underperformance levelled against his principal as work of mischief makers who are adamant in dividing the Party and launching a smear campaign.
Galadima while reacting to the allegations by a spokesperson of the Bauchi State PDP Volunteer Forum, Tahir Suleiman on the statement attributed to him on Friday, said that Ningi, within the shortest period of his stay in the National Assembly, has been one of the strongest voices from the state and the country.
Galadima maintained that the group lacks the capacity to condemn and weigh the achievements recorded by the political figure based on his track records and relationship with the people.
He added that the critics are self-centred and sponsored by their pay master aimed at tarnishing the political image and relevance of Senator Ningi with a view to having cheap publicity.
He listed some of the achievements recorded by the Senator in less than two years to include; “construction of three 10km roads project from Tashar Tsamiya to Kafin Sule in Misau LGA, Danol Mangoro-Tauya in Darazo and Gada-Zakara in Ningi LGA respectively.”
Others, according to him, are facilitating employment at National Population Commission, Federal University of Transportation Daura, National Obstetrics Fistula Centre Ningi totaling to over 40 people with the recent Police recruitment of 16 indigenes across his Constituency.
Ningi, according to him, has constructed over 371 hand pumps, over 1500 solar powered street lights amongst others.
Galadima said with the legislative performance of Ningi so far in the 10th Senate, sponsored several bills among which is the bill on the establishment of Federal University of Agriculture at Darazo. “Their fabricated claims are baseless without facts and figures to attract public sympathy and should be dumped in a dustbin.”
“Ningi, is a founding member of the PDP that has never joined another party and whose leadership style has earned him recognition all the world,” he said. END
