Terrorists kill 12 in Kaduna

Terrorists attacked Maro Junction, on Wednesday, a thriving weekly market in Maro Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack occurred around 3 pm resulting in the deaths of at least 12 persons.
Cafra Casino, the former chairman of Kajuru LGA, confirmed the incident.
According to him, 12 bodies have been recovered so far, and over 20 others, who sustained several injuries, have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Casino disclosed that this was the second time terrorists had targeted the market during business hours.
The attack has left the community in a state of chaos, with residents fleeing to neighboring villages for safety.
“Security operatives drafted to the area have already left. We are appealing to the government to deploy security operatives to help restore normalcy,” Casino stated.
At the time of this report, neither the state government nor the state police command has issued an official statement confirming the incident.
Efforts to reach Mansir Hassan, the state Command’s Public Relations Officer, for comment were unsuccessful.
