The Lord’s Chosen reacts to viral testimony, dismisses claims of fabrication

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has addressed the widespread online mockery surrounding a recent testimony, asserting that the church does not fabricate its testimonies.
This comes after a viral video allegedly misrepresented a member’s testimony, sparking backlash across social media.
In a statement, Pastor Chidi Louis, the church’s Head of Public Relations and Media, clarified the situation, particularly regarding the testimony of a female member. According to Pastor Louis, a video circulating online that seemed to show a member claiming she had disarmed four armed robbers and seized an “AK-27” rifle was misleading and heavily edited.
He explained, “The video making rounds on social media is a misrepresentation. The woman’s testimony was about a dream, not an event that took place in real life. Nigerians should disregard the fake video and visit our official church platforms to watch the complete testimony for clarity.”
Pastor Louis also issued a warning, urging people not to believe everything they see online. He pointed out that some bloggers intentionally manipulate content to mock religious activities, labeling their actions as “wicked and devilish.”
In response to the controversy, the church’s media department released the full, unedited clip on their TikTok page, confirming that the woman’s story was a dream.
The uproar began when a video surfaced showing the woman claiming she had defeated four armed robbers and taken their weapon, which she mistakenly called an “AK-27.” In the video, a pastor corrected her, saying, “It’s AK-47,” a moment that quickly became fodder for online ridicule.
