Tottenham beat Manchester United, as Bruno Fernandes bags first red card in 242 games


Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, for the first time as a Manchester United player bagged his first red card in his 242 appearances for the club on Sunday.
Fernandes was sent off after clipping the shin of James Maddison in the 42nd minute with
United is 1-0 down, thanks to Brennan Johnson’s finish.
Meanwhile, in a tweet during the game, the Premier League Match Centre confirmed that the red card was reviewed by VAR.
It read: “The referee issued a red card to Fernandes for a challenge on Maddison.
“The VAR checked and confirmed the referee’s call of serious foul play.
