Tragedy as APC candidate dies few weeks to election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming local government election in Jigawa State, Yahuza Umar Labbo, has passed away. His death was confirmed by the state party chairman, Aminu Gumel.
Labbo, who was 55 years old, died following a brief illness. He leaves behind three wives and fifteen children.
Governor Umar Namadi has extended his condolences to Labbo’s family and the entire Muslim community. He offered prayers for Allah to grant Labbo eternal rest and to provide strength to his family during this difficult time.
The local government election in Jigawa State is scheduled for October 5, 2024.
