Tragedy as Nigerian footballer dies in car accident


The football world is mourning the loss of 20-year-old Nigerian striker Paul Julius, who tragically passed away in a car accident in Cyprus.
Julius, who recently joined Cypriot side Enosis Neon Paralimni FC, was involved in a fatal collision on the Paralimni-Protaras road. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when Julius’s car crashed into an oncoming vehicle driven by a 74-year-old, who is currently in stable condition.
The Famagusta Traffic Department is investigating the accident and urges witnesses to come forward.
Julius’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through the football community, with his club, E.N.P., and fellow teams AEL Limassol and APOEL, expressing heartfelt condolences.
“His memory will live on in our hearts, and his absence will be felt,” said E.N.P. in a statement.
Fans and colleagues alike are mourning the loss of a talented young player, whose promising career was cut short.
