United States President Donald Trump is reportedly considering a sweeping travel ban that could impact travelers from 43 countries, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters.

The proposed restrictions categorize affected nations into three groups—red, orange, and yellow—based on the severity of travel limitations they may face.

Countries in the red group, which includes Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Cuba, Bhutan, Venezuela, North Korea, Yemen, and Somalia, could see their nationals completely barred from entering the U.S.

The orange group, comprising Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Pakistan, Laos, Turkmenistan, Haiti, and Eritrea, may face stringent visa restrictions.

Meanwhile, 22 countries placed in the yellow group have been given a 60-day window to address U.S. concerns before further actions are taken. These nations include Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, São Tomé and Príncipe, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.

The move is part of Trump’s broader immigration policy agenda introduced at the start of his second term in January. However, while the list has been drafted, officials indicate that a final decision has yet to be made, and modifications could occur before the policy is implemented.
