VeryDarkMan to appear in court over alleged Police uniform impersonation

Popular social media influencer Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), is scheduled to appear in court today, Friday, November 1, to face charges of impersonation.
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) confirmed this in a statement posted on its official Facebook page.
The statement reads, “In response to recent developments, VDM is set to appear in court today following allegations of impersonation related to the unauthorized use of Nigeria Police Force uniforms in a viral social media video.”
The case, handled by the FCT Police Command, highlights the Force’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its symbols and preventing any misuse, according to the statement.
This court appearance follows VDM’s public apology on social media, where he acknowledged wearing a police uniform without authorization to create online content. The police have invited interested members of the public to monitor the case as proceedings unfold.
