VIDEO: Edo man calls out Obaseki for failing to fix waterlogged road after 8-year

A frustrated Edo State resident has taken to social media to express his discontent over the deplorable condition of a road in his community, which he claims has been neglected by the state government despite promises of repair.
In a video that has now gone viral, the young man directly addressed Governor Godwin Obaseki, accusing him of ignoring the poor state of the road for the past eight years.
The resident, visibly agitated, walked through the waterlogged street, with the floodwater reaching his knees. He lamented the damage the persistent flooding has caused to his personal belongings, including his university credentials and WAEC original certificate, which he says have been destroyed due to the constant water inundation.
He stated, “I voted for you eight years ago, and you refused to fix this road,” while highlighting the discrepancy between the governor’s claims of road repairs across Edo State and the actual condition of his neighborhood. The man insisted his complaints were not politically motivated, even though the video surfaced just days before the upcoming Edo governorship election.
