Breaking: Bago suspends Niger varsity VC

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of has suspended the Vice Chancellor of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu.
Reports revealed on Sunday that the governor also ordered the suspended Vice Chancellor to hand over to the next ranking professor in the institution.
Although professor Adamu was due to complete his tenure in two months time, the governor accused him of insubordination and disobedient to constituted authority.
Sources within the university management confirmed to Blueprint that Prof. Ibrahim has been appointed in acting capacity .
It was also learnt that the suspended VC has been locked in internal crisis with the university union bodies over his high handedness in the management of the institution.
