The Renewed Hope Concern Citizens (RHCC) has raised alarm over allegations of political infiltration and compromised candidacy within the All Progressives Congress (APC), by Senator Philip Aduda just days ahead of its scheduled primary elections.

The Chairman of RHCC, Hon. Taiye Agbaje said this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.

The group has submitted a strongly worded petition to the APC National Secretariat copied to the State and LG Chapters of the APC on Monday, June 16, 2025..

He said that the RHCC, through its legal representative at Mahmud & Co., accused APC chairmanship aspirant Hon. Joshua Musa of maintaining questionable ties with top members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) especially Senator Philip Aduda etc

According to him, Hon. Musa’s campaign is allegedly being bankrolled by high-profile PDP figures, including former FCT Sen. Philip Aduda and the outgoing Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Gabaya Shekwogaza.

He, however, cited a PDP stakeholders’ meeting held on May 30, during which Hon. Gabaya reportedly admitted to funding Musa’s campaign.

The reason, he claimed, was that the PDP was grooming Musa as a “backup plan” in case its official candidates falter in the upcoming local government elections.

“This revelation, if true, is nothing short of sabotage against the APC.

“We cannot allow our party to become a pawn in opposition politics or a platform for personal ambitions funded from outside.

“RHCC is demanding immediate action from the APC leadership, including the creation of an investigative committee to verify Hon. Musa’s affiliations and possible financial support from rival party members.

“The group insists that if the allegations are substantiated, Hon. Musa should be disqualified to preserve the integrity of the APC’s internal democratic processes.

The RHCC Chairman, expressed concern over Musa’s silence in the face of the allegations and his continued association with known PDP operatives.

“The silence is deafening. His failure to publicly distance himself from these claims only strengthens the case against him.

“With APC primaries slated for June 25, the timing of the petition could reshape the race in Bwari Area Counci.

“Political analysts say this development could expose deepening fractures within the local party structure and test the APC’s commitment to internal accountability.

“As of press time, Musa has not issued a public response to the allegations.

“The APC National Secretariat has yet to release an official statement, but party insiders suggest that the leadership is under mounting pressure to address the claims swiftly and transparently.

“The unfolding situation adds to the already high-stakes political climate in the FCT ahead of the 2025 local government elections.

“According to source, a similar issue is ongoing in the APC Kuje Area Council.
