Breaking: Nico Williams agrees 6-year deal with Barcelona

The La Liga Champion Barcelona have reached an agreement on personal terms with Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, sealing a contract that would keep the Spanish international at the Camp Nou until June 2031.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Thursday via X, the six-year contract includes a salary package in the range of €7 to €8 million net per season.
While personal terms have been finalised, Romano reports that Barcelona are now focused on reaching a financial agreement with Athletic Bilbao to complete the transfer.
Romano stated, “Nico Williams and Barça have agreed personal terms on 6 year deal. Agreement sealed on player’s contract until June 2031 with the salary in the region of €7/8m net per season. Barça are currently working on financial terms to get the deal done with Athletic.”
The 22-year-old winger has been one of the standout performers in La Liga and was part of Spain’s squad at the Nations League 2024.
His potential move to Barça has been widely anticipated as the Catalan club looks to reinforce its attacking options for the coming season.
