‘We’ll Keep Wike’s camp guessing,’ Fubara says amidst PDP caretaker list

The Governor Sim Fubara has described as ‘a fabrication by cheap publicity seekers and agents of crisis’, a purported list of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee members for Rivers State which featured some loyalists of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Fubara, noted this at the ground breaking ceremony of an automobile spare parts market in Port Harcourt, where he stated that while the PDP had agreed to extend the tenure of the Executive Councils in affected states, including Rivers for three months, it did not however, include the introduction of new names or the bypassing of the State Governor’s authority.
In the words of Fubara; “I’m aware that many of you have seen this list circulating on social media and in newspapers. I want to assure you that it is not genuine.
“The list you saw, including the altered versions, will not be recognized. We had a NEC meeting on April 18,2024 that ratified the decision.
“This fabricated list is the work of desperate individuals who crave media attention. We will continue to make them uneasy and unpredictable in our actions. We will strike them as hard as we did yesterday,” the Governor said.
However, Fubara urged party members to ignore the fake list, saying; “Rest assured, nothing has changed. We will continue to disrupt their camp and keep them guessing”.
