Atiku Abubakar mourns death of long-standing ally

Former Vice President and 2023 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is grieving the loss of his dedicated ally, Hajia Hadiza Adado, who passed away on Wednesday night in Kano after a brief illness.
Hajia Adado was a pioneering female leader who played a crucial role in Atiku’s presidential campaign as Director-General of Women Affairs. She also served as the National Women Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku took to X to express his condolences, writing: “I am heavily disheartened by the news of the passing of Hajia Hadiza Adado. Hajia Hadiza was the Director-General of Women Affairs in my last presidential campaign council and a former Women Leader of the PDP. She was a superb team player who made a remarkable impact on our campaign and the PDP at large. My condolences go to her immediate family and the entire body of women agenda influencers in Nigeria.”
Hajia Adado is survived by her husband, Alhaji Yusuf Adado, and four children. She was laid to rest on Thursday morning, following Islamic rites.
Her legacy and contributions to Nigerian politics will be deeply missed.
Atiku’s tribute honors her dedication and commitment to the party and his campaign.
