Bago takes over Jazu-Minna road from FG

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has taken over the reconstruction of the Jazu-Minna Road from the federal government.
The Jazu road is 21km from Minna to Suleja, which is also the bad section of the road.
FG has awarded the Minna-Suleja road over 15 years ago, and the project is yet to be completed.
This delay prompted the decision by the state government to take over the project.
It would also be recalled that the state government has relocated the Minna city gate to Jazu village after Paiko along the Suleja-Minna road.
The project will expand Minna city by 21 kilometers.
The project has been awarded by the state government, and work has since commenced.
Part of the contract awarded also includes constructing a rail line from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, to the new city gate.
