CDCFIB disowns online recruitment publications, warns of fake recruitment syndicates

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has disowned online publications claiming to announce recruitment timelines for various services under its purview.
In a statement signed by Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen (Rtd) AM Jibril, the CDCFIB warned the public to disregard these publications and be cautious of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers.
The affected services include the Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence.
According to the CDCFIB, authentic recruitment information will be published in at least two national dailies and on their official website.
The Board urged the public to be wary of fake websites and social media posts claiming to represent the CDCFIB or its affiliated services.
It also emphasized that legitimate recruitment processes are free, advising individuals to never pay for recruitment services.
The CDCFIB’s warning comes as a measure to protect unsuspecting members of the public from falling victim to scams and fraudulent activities.
