EFCC operative takes own life
Tragedy struck in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), when an officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) sadly took his own life at his residence.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday, affecting a Course 5 member who was highly regarded for his tireless efforts, efficiency, and gentle nature.
According to report, the EFCC is currently investigating various factors, including mental health concerns and family difficulties, that may have led to the operative’s depression and ultimately, his tragic decision to take his own life.
The EFCC’s spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, confirmed that an investigation is currently ongoing to uncover the circumstances leading to the operative’s suicide, and the Commission will not disclose the individual’s name until the investigation is concluded.
