Firm calls for public-private partnerships to boost digital economy

Mr. Ifeanyi Akosionu, the Managing Director of inq. Nigeria, stressed the importance of a collaborative approach between the government and private sector to drive the growth and development of the digital economy.
He made the call while accepting the three awards won by the company at the ABoICT Merit and Leadership Awards event in Lagos.
Akosionu emphasized that the government has a vital responsibility to establish a robust and reliable critical infrastructure, which will provide a solid foundation for the digital economy, while private firms should focus on innovating and developing cutting-edge solutions that will have a profound and lasting impact on the African ICT landscape.
The company was voted “ICT Company of the Year,” “Enterprise Broadband Services Provider of the Year,” and “Emerging Technology Provider of the Year.”
He said, “It is an honour to receive these recognitions from ABoICT.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to prioritizing technology and innovation to drive resilient digital transformation for its customers.
Akosionu emphasised inq. Nigeria’s dedication to deploying cutting-edge solutions, such as intelligent connectivity, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation with AI, to meet the evolving needs of the Nigerian business community.
Furthermore, he highlighted the company’s track record of innovation and its ongoing efforts to drive Nigeria’s economic advancement through products and services that foster growth and development.
The prestigious award committee, responsible for identifying and honoring outstanding achievements in the ICT sector, presented inq. Nigeria with a special award, acknowledging the company’s commitment to delivering innovative and cutting-edge solutions that have made a significant impact on Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
In his welcome address at the event, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, Ken Nwogbo, stated, “The awards and lecture series were designed to highlight efforts to place Nigeria on the global information and communications technologies map and honour individuals and organisations that have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the Nigerian ICT sector.”
