Ganduje receives ex-senate President Anyim into APC

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has received the former President of the Senate Pius Anyim into the ruling party from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chief Anyim officially defected to the APC on Saturday in an elaborate occasion held at the PA Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki the capital of Ebonyi state.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the National Chairman of APC, Edwin Olofu stated that Ganduje who received the ex-Senate President alongside other decampees expressed delight over the development.
He described the coming of Chief Anyim to the APC as a huge blessing to the party owing to his wealth of experience.
“Today I’m elated to receive such an important personality to our party, I want to assure you on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Timubu that you are welcome to the largest political party in black and white Africa. Be rest assured that we will give you equal opportunity like old members of our party so that you can come to the table with your huge experience and followership.” Ganduje assured.
Ganduje further insisted that the Southeast geo-political region can’t continue to be in the opposition urging the region to join the mainstream politics.
Chief Anyim while reacting as he decamped said the PDP in the state has resolved to collapse its structures to the APC.
