Hisbah arrests Kano TikTok star

G-Fresh Al-amin, a well-known and contentious TikTok personality in Kano, has been arrested by the state Hisbah Command.

The head of the Board’s Surveillance Unit, Aliyu Usman, confirmed his arrest.

Usman disclosed that G-Fresh was taken into custody at his Badawa residence on Sunday around 1 p.m.

“He had been evading us for a while, despite repeated invitations for counselling based on directives from the Commandant General. I personally reached out to him multiple times by phone, urging him to come in, but he continually declined.

“Consequently, we had no alternative but to locate and arrest him. He is currently in our custody, undergoing investigation,” Usman stated.

The TikToker arrested for allegedly making offensive comments and disrespectfully reciting Quranic verse during Eid celebrations.
