I won’t go back to Aso Villa – Patience Jonathan

Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan has declared that she has no intention of returning to Nigeria’s Presidential Villa.
Speaking at a public event on Friday, Mrs. Jonathan opened up about the immense pressure associated with being in the public eye. She said, “If you call me now to the villa, I won’t go there. I won’t. Don’t you see how young I am? The stress is too much.”
She elaborated on the specific reasons for her decision, stating, “The stress in Nigeria is overwhelming. When God brings you out of such a situation, you should glorify and thank Him. It is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Reflecting on her past experiences, Mrs. Jonathan emphasized the toll the role took on her well-being. “He has taken you there once; why would you want to go there again? I won’t go back” she declared.
Her remarks shed light on the often unseen burdens of political life in Nigeria, highlighting the personal sacrifices made by those in high office.
