I’ll abandon presidential ambition for Jonathan in 2027 – Gov Bala

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has announced that he is considering a presidential run but will withdraw his bid if former President Goodluck Jonathan chooses to run.
Speaking on Thursday after a request from a non-governmental organization to consider a presidential bid, Mohammed praised Jonathan’s experience and potential to effectively lead the country.
Mohammed stated, “While I am evaluating my prospects as a potential leader, I hold the belief that Goodluck Jonathan, a highly capable leader within the PDP, is the ideal candidate. If Jonathan decides to run, I will step aside and support him wholeheartedly.
“The governor’s extensive experience makes him well-suited for the role.
“His past tenure showed inclusiveness and addressed critical issues such as the Almajiri system and youth unemployment.”
He also emphasized that his criticisms of President Bola Tinubu’s administration are intended to contribute positively to the nation’s progress.
