Immigration website hits by technical hitches amid passport price hike
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced that its online payment platform is experiencing technical hitches, just days after the agency increased the prices of Nigerian passports.
In a public notice on Friday, the NIS apologized for the inconvenience caused by the technical issues, which are affecting the online application and payment process for passports and other services.
The announcement comes on the heels of a recent price hike for Nigerian passports, which has generated widespread criticism from Nigerians.
The NIS has assured the public that it is working to resolve the technical issues as soon as possible and advised applicants to exercise patience.
The agency’s website has been plagued by problems, leaving many Nigerians frustrated and unable to access essential services.
The NIS has not stated when the technical issues will be resolved, but has promised to keep the public updated on any developments.
