Former Barcelona Legend Andres Iniesta was full of praise for Lamine Yamal after his great season at Barcelona.

The former Cule player also tipped Luis Enrique’s PSG to win the Champions League final, saying he loves the Asturian coach.

Andres Iniesta, former Barca and Spanish national team player, said that Luis Enrique, the Spanish coach who will play the Champions League final with Paris Saint-Germain against Inter Milan, “is a very talented coach”.

“He’s a coach I love. I love how he manages his teams, how he transmits, how he is an incredible worker. He’s a very talented coach and I wish him all the best,” Iniesta said.

“It’s very difficult to win trophies, it’s very difficult to reach those moments, but at the same time it’s nice to live them and for them to happen again. Luis Enrique, for example, has the chance to do it again. I have friends at PSG, and we’ll see what happens. I think it will be a great game. Inter are a great team too, and I think we can see a great final,” said the former Barca player.

“Inter is a historic team that has always had great players; they still have them. It’s not easy to reach a final and they are in a position to compete and win it. It will be a great match and I hope everyone can enjoy it. I have friends at PSG and I would be thrilled if they could do it, but above all I hope we enjoy a great day of football and that people can savour it.

Iniesta also made reference to Barcelona after this season and the talent of Lamine Yamal: “It’s great news for Barca fans that he can be there. I hope he can maintain that level and keep going up year after year because he really is a unique talent. I hope he can give Barca a lot of joy,” he said.

On his former team’s season, he said: “It has been a great season, winning two titles (League and Copa del Rey), reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League and on the verge of reaching the final. And above all the feeling that the team transmits, that it is a young team with a lot of experience at the same time. If they continue on this path, I think they will be very close to being able to win titles every year”.
