Nigerians miss PDP, Gbolarumi boasts

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, has said the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has been missed by many Nigerians.
He however, assured that the main opposition party will soon bounce back.
Gbolarumi stated this in an interview with journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
He said poor governance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was obvious in all facets; hence, Nigerians were eagerly waiting for the return of the PDP into power.
The former deputy governor said Nigerians could now compare and contrast the development the PDP government engendered while in the saddle with the negative economic and development indices the current government at the federal level had brought upon the nation.
Gbolarumi said: ‘’Nigerians are missing the PDP. They have all seen what happened during the PDP government and what is happening now. Nigerians can compare and contrast. All economic and development indices have gone down. For now, poverty, insecurity, and some other unpleasant things are what the country is witnessing. Today, the exchange rate is out of hand, security is appalling, the economy is in a shambles and much more. In fact, we are in a very serious mess. Things are very difficult. Nigeria was not like this when the PDP was in the saddle.
‘’Definitely, the PDP will bounce to rescue the country. Nigerians have all seen what is happening in the country. We can’t continue like this’’.
When asked questions on the membership status of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the former deputy governor said: ‘’ I wouldn’t know. He needs to come out to tell us if he is a member or not. So, let him come out and tell Nigerians that he’s still a member of the party. Maybe they will take it up from there’’.
He added that the PDP was working to resolve its differences.
