Police thwart attempted break-in at APC chairman’s home

Kano Police Command foiled attack on residence of APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, by alleged thugs.
According to a statement issued by SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the command’s spokesperson, on Sunday May 31, at around 6:00 pm, the Kano Police Command received a distress call from Chiranchi junction in Gwale Local Government Area.
Kiyawa stated that the thugs, armed with dangerous weapons, were reportedly pelting people with stones and attempting to enter the APC chairman’s house.
Swift action was taken by a team led by the Divisional Police Officer of Gwale Division, successfully foiling the attempted invasion and restoring normalcy to the area.
Although no arrests were made initially, investigations uncovered that the incident was sparked by a clash between two rival gangs, with Abdul’Yassar (aka Jonny), Birbiri, and Junkie Aljan identified as the primary instigators.
Authorities are currently working to apprehend the suspects, with enhanced patrols implemented in the area to maintain order and prevent future disturbances.
