Rainstorm wreaks havoc on Niger school, village head seeks help

Heavy rainfall has destroyed blocks of primary school in New Dakalo, Paikoro local government area of Niger state.
The classrooms were destroyed early hours of Friday by the accompanied wind.
The village head, Chief Joshua Tsado, said “The heavy rain destroyed all the roof in the new Dakalo primary school and some part of the school building also collapsed.
“Over the years the school has never been a conducive environment for learning due to the level of how the building was gradually collapsing, this has affected our children so deeply.”
He said, “The school needs renovation, We the people of Dakalo Village are calling on the government to come to our rescue so our children can go back to school”.
