Uncertainty as former president hospitalised

Former United States President, Bill Clinton, has been hospitalised at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., after developing a fever.
According to his spokesman, Angel Ureña, the 78-year-old remains in good spirits and is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving.
Ureña shared the update via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday evening, stating that Clinton was admitted for tests and observation. While further details about his condition were not provided, reports suggest the situation is not critical. Sources close to the former president assured NBC News that he is “awake and alert” and expected to recover soon.

This incident marks another health scare for the 42nd president, who has faced significant medical challenges in the past. In 2021, Clinton was hospitalized for six days in California due to a blood infection. He has also dealt with longstanding heart issues, undergoing quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 at the age of 58 after signs of extensive heart disease were detected. In 2010, he had another procedure to open a clogged artery after experiencing chest pains.
Following his second surgery, Clinton embraced a vegan lifestyle, attributing the change to his improved health. “I might not be around if I hadn’t become a vegan,” he told Politico in 2016, describing the shift as transformative.
Despite his health challenges, Clinton has remained active. This year, he joined the presidential campaign trail to support Vice President Kamala Harris’s bid for the presidency. Just last month, he released his latest book, Citizen: My Life After the White House, offering insights into his life post-presidency.
The former president, who served from 1993 to 2001, continues to be a prominent figure in American politics and public life.
