VIDEO: Drama as Portable declares himself a Lil Wayne look-alike

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has reacted sharply to comparisons with fellow artiste Asake, following the latter’s sudden change in appearance.
In a viral video making rounds on social media, Portable dismissed the resemblance claims, insisting he should not be likened to Asake.
“Don’t compare me to Asake. I don’t look like Asake; I look like Lil Wayne. Stop comparing me to an overrated artiste,” Portable declared in his trademark blunt style.

The comments come after Asake debuted a fresh new look, ditching his signature dreadlocks and adopting facial tattoos similar to Portable’s distinctive style. The transformation sent the social media on frenzy, with many drawing visual comparisons between the two street-hop sensations.
Portable, known for his eccentric personality and unfiltered opinions, made it clear that he takes pride in his unique persona and style, aligning himself with global rap icon Lil Wayne rather than fellow Nigerian acts.
Asake, who has yet to respond to Portable’s comments, remains one of the most talked-about artistes on the Nigerian music scene, while Portable continues to make headlines with his outspoken nature and viral antics. The rivalry, whether real or perceived, has kept both stars at the center of public attention.
