VIDEO: Nigerian Governor orders arrest of 6 civil servants for selling govt properties

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has directed the arrest of six civil servants accused of unauthorized removal and sale of documents belonging to the state’s Ministry of Health.
The governor made the discovery during an impromptu visit on Saturday and shared the incident via his official Facebook page.
In the video, Nwifuru revealed that he was on his way to inspect ongoing projects when he noticed suspicious activity within the Ministry of Health’s premises. Acting on instinct, he ordered his convoy to reverse into the compound, where he found a vehicle being loaded with documents and other materials.
“I was stunned to see the vehicle packed with materials meant for our primary health care centres and general hospitals,” the governor said. “It’s disheartening to see such sabotage while we work tirelessly to improve healthcare for our people.”
Among the items discovered were non-polio vaccination cards, antenatal registers, and child immunisation records, allegedly being diverted without government authorization.

In a follow-up statement on Sunday, Monday Uzor, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, confirmed that one Ndukwe Ayansi and five others had been arrested for their involvement in the act. Uzor further disclosed that the documents had already been sold without approval.
The suspects have since been handed over to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution. Governor Nwifuru reaffirmed his administration’s zero tolerance for corruption and vowed to hold those responsible accountable.
