JAMB announces 2025 direct entry registration date

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the sale of 2025 Direct Entry (DE) application documents will commence on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board emphasized that the registration is strictly for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-Level certificates seeking admission into universities of their choice.
The announcement follows the successful conclusion of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application sales, which ended on Saturday, March 8, 2025. JAMB disclosed that a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered for the UTME, while 200,115 applied for the Mock-UTME, alongside 630 applicants for the trial mock.
JAMB has issued a stern warning against false declarations, stating that any applicant found submitting fraudulent credentials will face severe penalties. The board also revealed that a special committee will scrutinize all Advanced A-Level qualifications to prevent irregularities.
Furthermore, JAMB urged universities to directly verify applicants’ certificates before granting admission. To maintain transparency, the registration process will only be conducted at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
