Breaking: Late Chief of Army Staff, Lagbaja remains arrive Lagos

Body of the late Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja has arrived at the Nigerian Air Force wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The body was received by soldiers of the Guards Brigade, who are set to pay their last respects to Lagbaja. It arrived on Thursday.
The Nigerian army headquarters had earlier announced a two-day schedule for the burial of 56-year-old Lagbaja who passed away last week Tuesday in Lagos following a prolonged undisclosed illness.
The Service of Songs will take place on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Army Headquarters Garrison Parade Ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.
The Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the National Christian Centre, located in Abuja’s Central Business District. The final interment will follow at the National Military Cemetery from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the same day.
Lagbaja, who was appointed by the President on June 19, 2023, with other Service Chiefs, died on November 6, 2024.
