#Edodecides: APC candidate Okpebholo confident of victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo, has boldly declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not secure a single vote at his polling unit in the ongoing Edo State governorship election.
Speaking shortly after casting his vote on Saturday, Okpebholo attributed his confidence to his strong connection with the people of his hometown.
“I have nothing to fear,” Okpebholo asserted. “PDP or whatever will not get one vote here because this is my home, and my people love me.”
In contrast, the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo, expressed concerns over the delayed arrival of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials at Ward 1, PU 3, Ewohimi, in the Esan South-East Local Government Area.
Ighodalo emphasized the need to ensure that the large turnout of voters at his polling unit is not disenfranchised and called on INEC to extend the voting period to allow everyone to cast their ballot.
This election, featuring 17 candidates, comes amidst mounting fears of violence and logistical challenges in eight local government areas.
