Ensure success of Dangote refinery, Kwankwaso tells Tinubu’s govt

Prominent politician Rabiu Kwankwaso urged the Nigerian government on Wednesday to ensure the success of the Dangote refinery, emphasizing the importance of the project for the nation’s energy needs and economic stability.
Kwankwaso criticized certain government officials for creating unnecessary concerns about the refinery’s integrity, labeling their actions as unfortunate.
Aliko Dangote, the refinery’s founder, recently accused the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited of obstructing the refinery’s operations.
Addressing the conflict between Dangote and the government, Kwankwaso called for fairness from the authorities towards such a significant venture.
On X, Kwankwaso posted: “I had the privilege of visiting the magnificent Dangote Refinery and was impressed by the dedication to its establishment’s quality.
“This 650,000 bpd refinery is crucial for our energy and economic stability and must be safeguarded from any threats.
“The creation of unnecessary concerns about its integrity by some vested interests is unfortunate and risks undermining investor confidence in our economy.
“We must rally around this national asset to ensure its success. It cannot fail, and the Nigerian government must demonstrate fairness and confidence in both domestic and foreign critical investments.”
