Palmer, Madueke return to Chelsea’s training ahead of Spurs crunch

Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur as Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke have returned to team training on Friday after recovering from their respective injuries.
Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke were both in attendance at Cobham for Friday’s training session with the team, handing Chelsea a massive boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Midfielder Palmer was ruled out of the Blues’ recent fixture before the March international break due to a muscle injury. The blow also forced the 22-year-old to withdraw from England’s World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Latvia.
On the other hand, Madueke has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for over a month, last featuring in Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat at Brighton. The duo’s return comes just days after striker Nicholas Jackson also made his comeback to team training on Thursday.
With six days to go until the game against Spurs, Enzo Maresca will be hoping that the trio will be ready to play as the Blues continue their fight to seal the Champions League qualifying spots. Chelsea currently sit fourth, and are one point ahead of City in fifth.
