Police confirm Discoverer Nigeria story over Okorocha Unity House collapse

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed the collapse of Unity House, belonging to former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
Recall that Discoverer Nigeria had exclusively broke the story of building collapse on Monday night in Abuja.
The command on Tuesday confirmed that the building which is situated at Area 11 by Nkwere Street in the Abuja collapsed on Monday.
While confirming the incident on Tuesday, SP Josephine Adeh, the command’s Public Relations Officer in a statement revealed that in response to the distress call, the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, promptly moved to the scene with multiple patrol teams as first responders to cordon off the area for possible rescue.
The statement further revealed that three victims were successfully evacuated from the collapsed building and rushed to the hospital for medical care.
“The attention of the National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria and FCT Development Control have been drawn to the situation, and their personnel have taken charge of the area for robust management of the scene.
“Further developments will be appropriately communicated in due course.”
