Burna Boy gifts Portable N20m after defeating Speed Darlington

Popular singer Burna Boy has gifted Portable N20 million to celebrate his victory over Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing match.
The bout, which took place on Saturday, was part of the ‘Chaos In The Ring’ event, organised by Game Rush and Balmoral Promotions.
Portable won the match after Speed Darlington reportedly broke his arm in the first round and failed to show up for the second round.
Burna Boy, who has had a history of conflict with Speed Darlington, shared his support for Portable through a generous cash gift.
Portable expressed his gratitude on his Instagram story, revealing the gift and writing, “20 million from @burnaboygram. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”
Recall that the event followed the organisers’ previous boxing showcase held in December 2024, as well as the launch of Friday Fight Night in February 2025.
In a video posted to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Speed Darlington alleged that his shoulder became dislocated during the match, despite not experiencing any significant fatigue.
He suggested that his opponent may have introduced native charms into the ring, which, in his view, influenced the outcome of the fight.
He has also called for rematch.
